Police seek attempted carjacking suspects

On Saturday, April 19, 2025, shortly after 6:00am, police were dispatched to the area of Richardson St. and Fordview Ct. in the City of Brantford for a report of an attempted carjacking.

Information received, reported two males, in their late teens, disguised in medical masks approached an individual who was sitting in their car. The suspects are reported to then have brandished a firearm, demanding the keys to the vehicle.

The two males were unsuccessful and fled on foot towards Fordview park.

Police set up containment, while a K9 track was deployed to locate the two suspects, however they remain outstanding.

No physical injuries were sustained in this incident.

The suspects are described as follows:

Suspect 1: Male, white, approximately 16-20 years old, blue medical mask
Suspect 2: Male, Indigenous, approximately 16-20 years old, blue medical mask

Police urge residents in the area to check any dash cam or outdoor cameras for any footage of these suspects.
