Brantford police seek to identify robbery suspects

Brantford police are investigating the robbery of a pharmacy and are seeking information from the public to help identify the suspects.
On Monday, February 26, 2024, at approximately 4:50 p.m., members of the Brantford Police Service responded to a report of a robbery of a pharmacy located at Colborne Street West near Mt. Pleasant Street.
Information was received to indicate four masked suspects entered the business where they threatened employees and unsuccessfully attempted to access the safe. The suspects obtained an unknown quantity of cash and fled the scene. No weapons were reported to be observed. Minor physical injuries were sustained by an employee as a result of the incident.
The suspects were described as follows:
- Four men - three black, one white or possibly Asian descent. All suspects were approximately 18 years of age, and 5’11’ in height.
- All suspects were reported to be wearing black and grey sweat suits and face coverings.
- One suspect was carrying a black satchel, and another wore a baseball hat.

BPS arrest three men after shooting investigation, drugs and firearms seized

Members of the Brantford Police Service High Enforcement Action Team (HEAT) arrested three Brantford men after launching a shooting investigation on February 7, 2024.
On Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at approximately 11:20 a.m., a concerned citizen called to report what was believed to be a gunshot, heard at a Tenth Avenue residence.
Officers of the Brantford Police Service including members of uniform patrol and the Emergency Response Team attended the scene.
The Brantford Police Service High Enforcement Action Team (HEAT) conducted the investigation, where it was learned that two male suspects were observed arriving at the Tenth Avenue residence in a vehicle. The two suspects then exited the vehicle, where an altercation occurred with another man. A shot is believed to have been fired. The two men then returned back to the vehicle and fled the scene.
As a result of the investigation, all three men have been arrested and held for bail.
A 29-year-old man from Brantford stands charged with the following Criminal Code violations:
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Possession of a firearm/ammunition while prohibited
- Fail to comply with Release Order
A 45-year-old man from Brantford stands charged with the following Criminal Code violations:
- Discharge firearm
- Break, enter and commit indictable offence
- Using a firearm in the commission of an offence
A 29-year-old man from Brantford stands charged with the following Criminal Code violations:
- Discharge firearm
- Break, enter and commit indictable offence
- Using a firearm in the commission of an offence
- Utter threats to cause bodily harm/death
- Assault
Additionally, search incident to arrest, found the 29-year-old man in possession of brass knuckles, illegal drugs (suspected methamphetamine, cocaine, and fentanyl), Canadian currency, a digital scale and drug packaging materials. As a result, the suspect also stands charged with:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking x3, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
- Possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes.
On February 16, 2024, a Section 487 Criminal Code Search Warrant was granted to search a Burwell Street residence. Following the search of the residence the following items were located:
- Approximately 420.58 grams of suspected methamphetamine
- Approximately 42.2 grams of suspected fentanyl
- A quantity of pills – suspected hydromorphone, dilaudid, and morphine
- A tactical vest with a 10-round capacity and 21-round capacity magazine containing live ammunition
- Handgun with a high-capacity magazine containing live ammunition
- Bag containing various caliber live ammunition
The total street value of the controlled substances seized from the residence is approximately $62,568.
As a result of the investigation, the 29-year-old man from Brantford also stands charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm (handgun)
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm (handgun)
- Careless storage of a firearm (handgun)
- Possession of restricted firearm (handgun)
- Possession of a prohibited device - Magazine x 2
- Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose (handgun)
- Failure to comply with undertaking
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Methamphetamine, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Morphine, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Hydromorphone, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act

BPS arrest 33-year-old Brantford man, seize fentanyl

Members of the Brantford Police Service High Enforcement Action Team (HEAT) arrested a 33-year-old Brantford man and seized a large quantity of suspected fentanyl.
On Thursday, February 1, 2024, at approximately 2:45 p.m., at a Colborne Street location, members of the Brantford Police Service High Enforcement Action Team (HEAT) located and arrested a wanted man. The man was wanted by BPS on an outstanding warrant for aggravated assault and other offences under the Criminal Code.
Members of the Brantford Police Service Emergency Services Team (ERT) provided assistance with the arrest. The accused was taken into custody without incident.
Search incident to arrest located approximately 127.07 grams of suspected fentanyl in possession of the accused. This quantity of fentanyl has an estimated street value of $25,414.
As a result, a 33-year-old Brantford man stands charged with the following:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking - Schedule I, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
The accused was held for bail.

Additional Fentanyl Seizure and Arrest in Brantford Police Services Project Katoomba

As a result of the continued efforts of Project Katoomba, a multi-jurisdictional investigation led by the Brantford Police Service High Enforcement Action Team (HEAT), a 35-year-old Toronto woman was arrested, and a large quantity of fentanyl seized and removed from circulation.
Initiated in November 2023, Project Katoomba was a drug investigation which focused on the distribution of large quantities of fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine within the City of Brantford and Southern/Southwestern Ontario.
Further investigation revealed the identity of a female suspect, who was located and subsequently arrested in Toronto on February 1, 2024.
Officers with the Toronto Drug Squad applied for and were granted a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Warrant and received judicial authorization to search a Toronto residence.
The following items were seized as a result of the search warrant:
- Approximately 4 kilograms of suspected Fentanyl
- A large quantity of Canadian currency and two money counting machines
As a result of the investigation, and subsequent search, a 35-year-old woman from Toronto stands charged with the following, pursuant to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act:
•Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
•Possession of Proceeds of Crime (over)
The accused was held for bail.
Project Katoomba will improve the safety of our communities by reducing the presence of, and violence surrounding the trade of illegal substances. ARRESTED - Brandon Christopher PFEIFFER, 37
Brandon Christopher PFEIFFER, 37-years-of-age, who was wanted in connection with a criminal incident which occurred in the City of Brantford on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, where a Brantford police officer was struck by a motor vehicle was arrested by Brantford Police Service officers the evening of February 12, 2024, in Hamilton.

Brandon Christopher PFEIFFER, 37-years-of-age, is wanted in connection with a criminal incident which occurred in the City of Brantford on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, where a Brantford police officer was struck by a motor vehicle.
As a result of the incident, the officer was transported to hospital for medical attention and has since been released.
PFEIFFER is described as a white male, approximately 5’8” tall, 160 lbs., with a muscular build, bald with light brown facial hair and blue eyes.
PFEIFFER is currently wanted by the Brantford Police Service for numerous Criminal Code offences including:
- Dangerous Operation
- Flight from Police Officer
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
- Failure to Stop After Accident
- Possession Contrary to Prohibition Order
- Failure to Comply
- Assault Peace Office with a Weapon
- Drive While Under Suspension
- Motor Vehicle Theft

BPS Seeking to Identify Vehicle

The Brantford Police Service is seeking information from anyone who may have dash camera video of an older metallic blue Mitsubishi Lancer that had been traveling south bound on King George Road, then west bound on Powerline Road on yesterday’s date of January 31, 2024, between 3:10-3:20 p.m.
